FIRST TOPIC: The question of the right to privacy threatened by AI's development and improvement. Question: Should we limit and/or deprive human beings from their right to privacy in order to maintain their security through AI ?
SECOND TOPIC: Machine learning is an application of AI that provides systems the ability to automatically learn and improve from experience without being explicitly programmed. In the medical field or in the autonomous car, for example, errors may cause physical damage to people and even death. Questions: Should the right of individuals be favoured by limiting the power of machines to evolve on their own, or should the progress of AI be favoured over the rights of individuals? Can we accept collateral damages for the development of this technology?
IMPORTANT : As you must have noticed, AMMUN demands more from delegates than merely representing their country’s position regarding the topics that will be debated. This conference is resolutely turned towards shaping the future of our world. We therefore require all delegates to efficiently research their country’s policies in order to develop viewpoints that could be the ones of their country’s government. If no policies can be found on the topic debated, we request delegates to take positions they think are the best for the future of their country and of our world, bearing in mind that this future has to respect sustainable development among other things. Delegates will thus TRULY step into the shoes of country leaders and take determining decisions for our generation and the ones to come to live the best lives possible.
