Welcome, Welcome, welcome dear delegates, future participants of the AMMUN, friends, comrades. It is my upmost pleasure to welcome you to the very first international edition of the André Malraux Model United Nations ! I'm Yasmine Essaoudi and it is such a great honor to introduce myself as a seventeen-year-old Moroccan senior at the André Malraux International High School, privileged to be serving as one of the first Deputies of the President of the General Assembly in the history of the AMMUN. AMMUN is a project that I have always wished for. Such a simple idea that wouldn't stop burgeoning in the depths of my gray matter since I’ve discovered the delights of the MUN three years ago. Thus, seeing this long awaited scheme getting concretized, the grain of an idea sown in the mind of such clueless teenagers grow and come to life, is truly a dream come true. I had the chance, throughout my eight, national as well as international, MUN experiences, to dive in the heart of pure politics and take part with passion in the most feverish debates. And it is this same exact passion for both debating and politics that I wish to share with you. I am more than thrilled to meet every single one of you and I’m positive that you will make this first edition memorable and that your participation will lead to fruitful and heated debates. I hope to see you all very soon !
KENZA BOUAYAD
Hello to all the delegates and Welcome! I am Kenza Bouayad Amine, a seventeen-year-old senior at André Malraux International High School and it is a total joy and gratification to be able to welcome you to this first edition of the AMMUN. Taking part in a model UN conference is one of my greatest experience and has given me so much. For this reason, being a part of it as one of the two Deputies of the President of the General Assembly is a pride. These last years, I have attended three MUN conferences, one of which was hosted in Madrid where I've been elected as the best delegate of my committee. This year, during my fourth MUN conference, I have the honor to live the debates from a different perspective, up the podium. I am looking forward to experiencing a series of heated discussions but most of all I can’t wait to meet all of you, because yes this year's conference is NATIONAL! As my rather dramatic colleague Miss Essaoudi said, we’ve put our hearts, tears, and sweat into this project and “seeing this long awaited scheme getting concretized, the grain of an idea sown in the mind of such clueless teenagers grow and come to life”, really is a dream come true. My fellow secretariat friends and myself will try our best to make you live a memorable conference! We’ve been waiting for this moment and it's with wide open arms and doors that we are welcoming you to our country and school. It is truly an incomparable experience that will allow you to meet people from different countries, to give you empathy and tolerance, to create unbreakable bonds, and to discover our Moroccan customs after a day full of productive discussion and lobbying. Cheers to the most enriching experience of your youth! If you have any questions or concerns, don't hesitate to contact us.
