« When two rivers meet, they come as one, and by fusion our cultures become indistinct, they overlap and fit to form only one single block, of humanity. » - Gael Faye This quote best translates what I think about MUN. It is also the reason why I wanted to become a Chair in the First International Edition of AMMUN.
To all the future delegates of the EcoSoc Committee, I am Mehdi Rais and I am a junior at André Malraux International High School. I have the privilege to lead the Economic and Social Council for AMMUN 2019, and feel honoured to share this management with Camille Bouron, my Co-Chair. Throughout last year, I participated in several MUNs as a delegate and once as the Main Chair of the United Nations Environmental Program. I had the chance to travel to Madrid where I won one of my Best Delegate awards. I also lived an unforgettable experience with my friends and I think that's what actually matters. MUN has become, since then, a big passion of mine and I wish this new journey will be memorable. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Best of luck !
CAMILLE BOURON Co-Chair
To all of our dear future delegates of the AMMUN in the EcoSoc Council, I am Camille Bouron, a senior at André Malraux International High School. It is a real honor to lead the Economic and Social Council for the First International Edition of the AMMUN. It is a pleasure as well to share the management of this Committee with Mehdi Rais, the Main Chair. Thereby, our role is to ensure effective and interesting debates, answer your questions and make sure that all of you, as the delegates, are comfortable. Thus, do not hesitate to participate, ask questions, and get involved ! During these last two years, I had the opportunity to participate in several Models of United Nations as a delegate, and once had the chance to be the Chair of the Special Political Committee. To be truly honest with you, being a delegate is an experience that I will never forget, but chairing is without any doubt what I appreciate the most in an MUN conference. I can’t wait to meet you in January but also to be the witness of your fruitful (I am sure they will be) debates in our Committee. Please, feel free to contact us if you have any questions about your journey at the AMMUN. I sincerely hope that you will keep a wonderful memory of the Economic and Social Council.
